Our Curriculum
Our goal is to provide therapeutic early education that specializes in child and family centered nurturing, education and comprehensive supports services to students and their families. The division focuses on supporting each individual student to develop to their full potential. The curriculum includes daily integrated Math, Science, and Social Study Themes, Literacy instruction, predictable classroom routines, progressive adaptive social skill training, ongoing progress assessments, and effective parent-teacher communication. Also, through partnerships with schools, families and the community, quality enrichment programs are offered.
About Youth Development Early Learning Center
We are in the process of obtaining licensure from the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care and The Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education as a special education day program. We serve students with diagnoses of serious emotional disturbance (SED) and intellectual developmental disability (IDD), with a specific emphasis on cultural responsiveness. We offer a range of community-based preventive care services that help families establish strong and stable foundations.

Early Education and Care Classes
- Pre-Kindergarten Programs for Children Ages 3.5

Surround Care
Program
- Before and after school, licensed child care program for ages 3.5 years to 8 year old
- Open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. and to 6 p.m.
- During the spring, summer, and winter breaks, full-day care operates

Applied Behavior Analysis Centers
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Insurance Coverage
Our goal is to provide a comprehensive array of therapeutic enrichment support & recreation programs as youth development services. We provide activities that builded skills, lower risk factors within the community, engage and support the family. We specialize in working with children and youth with Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and integrate interventions utilize a blend of Applied Behavior Analysis.
Dates When Programs Run
- After School Programs: September to June
- School Vacation Camps: February to April
- Summer Vacation Camps: After 4th of July to end of August
- Saturday Camps: Saturdays
Applied Behavior Analysis Master Level Clinicians evaluate and monitor progress using observable and measurable tools in order to provide results to recommend the next steps for each adult, parents, and patients. Treatment is conducted in the community and home setting usually but based on patients needs group sessions or other services may be provided elsewhere.
Peer to Peer Sessions
Behavioral Technician/Paraprofessional monitors the patient’s progress on the implementation of the goals of the treatment plan developed by the Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst. Building patient’s and family mastery of fundamental skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction via provides coaching, support, and guidance to the parent/guardian/caregiver in implementing the treatment plan and progress toward behavioral objectives or performance goals.
Caregiver Training and Support
Caregiver Training and Support or information regarding incidental teaching and finding the right “teaching opportunities” using everyday activities and routines such as dressing, brushing teeth and eating to promote skill development. A Parent training intervention is specifically designed to teach the accurate approach for managing and eliminating problem behaviors. An example of Parent Training would be:
- Set up the home environment and structure your time to ensure behavior improves
- Establish rules and prevent problems
- Optimize generalization of skills with caregivers in the community through integration activities within in the home setting.
Center Group Sessions
Assessments determine which approach is appropriate and we offer two types of social skills programs:
- Caregiver Training and Support Groups
- Peer to Peer Social & Skills Building Groups
In-Home Behavioral (IHB)
Intensive holistic wrap-around strength-based Behavior Management Therapy in the community designed to treat challenging behaviors, with a specific structure and positive behavioral supports to successfully support a child/ youth’s and family in their home and community. These services assist with implementing behavior change techniques to increase the quality of life and availability for learning new behaviors.
In-Home Therapy (IHT)
Intensive holistic wrap-around therapy in the community with the structured strength-based therapeutic relationship between a clinician, if needed an added therapeutic support staff, the child/ youth’s and family. In order to address and treat the child/youth’s needs and improve the family’s relationship and enhance problem-solving, limit setting, communication, identify and utilize community resources and develop and maintain natural support.
Therapeutic Mentoring (TM)
Our program supports in building one to one relationship in community setting focusing on strength-based support services that coaching, and training child/ youth to on what is necessary to achieve their goal. The mentor’s main goal is to help build, maintain and make health choices within the community and building community access.
Eligibility: Patients can access TM services based on medical necessity and a referral by a behavioral health provider, who has a treatment plan in place with TM services.
Transportation
Transportation to our office is available with Prescription for Transportation (PT-1). Patients younger than 8 years old will need to be escorted by parents or guardian.
Telehealth
Telehealth services are available after the initial assessment is completed in-person, for:
- Individual Therapy
- Group Therapy
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy
- Coordination of Care
